How can it be rainy and hot?

I hurt my stupid neck again, so I’m waiting for traffice to slow down before taking my little Honda into the elements…

You

Tuesday, August 30th, 2005

You’re the calm to my loud;

The center to my tilt;

The smile to my frown;

The completion to my emptiness;

The softness to my jaggedness;

The sweetness to my bitterness;

The patience to my bratting;

The support to my unsteadiness;

And the love of my life.

Relaxation, I hardly knew ya..

So, in one of my less brilliant decisions, I’m in the beginnings of a part time law program, for the next four years.

Now, while this will undoubtedly launch me onto my chosen career path, the journey there so far has been painful. I spent all weekend on my homework, before I’d even had my first class.

Probably doesn’t seem to be a big deal, but put yourself in my place for a moment. No law experience. 80 pages of legal reading. No conception of what’s important and what’s not.

Now mix in a full time job and two assignments and one weekend.

Shake and serve.

What you have is one really tired, distracted and confused beginning law student. I’m sure this will all become clearer once I have my first class and it becomes apparent what my teachers care about and what they don’t. But for right now, it’s all one big, confusingly detailed mess….

So I’ve accepted the fact that I’m just completely confused and will go to class tonight with my ten pounds of books, my laptop, and a mind washed free of all ability to figure out left from right.

Yea, this is going to be lots of fun….

Oh yea. The sickest part? From everything I’ve seen so far, I think I like it. That’s right. Given all of this and I still like it.

I must be a masochist…

Baby Panda

I don’t usually post on this type of thing, but this new baby panda is too cute.

Plus, I think we were there during our honeymoon when the mom was pregnant.

Fulfilling work

Monday, August 22nd, 2005

I busted my ass to work on Sunday to put together a project outline for a program at work.

And my boss…didn’t even read it before our meeting today.

Yea, I’m going to rush to do that again.
