Girls On The Gridiron

So I admit I was hesitant to start this blog. Was unsure what I had to contribute to the ether of the Internet blogging world. A world that’s grown in popularity and scope in a way I wouldn’t have imagined in the beginning.

Of course, all I was thinking back then was just, “Cool.”

I was hesitant about keeping the domain name too. I picked it up prior to the start of my third football season. I figured I’d use it to blog about the world of this one girl and my time on the gridiron.

A great idea, but when you’re trying to balance a full time job, professional football and a relationship, it’s not a very practical one. Then, a sprained neck during a practice took me out of commission and ended my 3rd season a week before my first game. A very painful injury, physically and mentally, as I watched 3 months of hustling through practice go completely down the drain. Not to mention, I was going to start as center and nose tackle. Course, that combination would have probably resulted in injury 9or exhaustion) anyway.

So I stayed away from this site for a while. But now, we’re in the midst of trying to get our side business up and running again. And it occurred to me today, that’s just as rough as football, so I might as well have a place to help myself figure it out for a bit. And wonder about regular life too, I’m sure.

I’ll try to keep it categorized, or something. That should make it a bit easier.=)
